Echo Cartographer is an echolocation maze game. Fire sonar pulses to reveal the walls around you, watch them fade back into darkness, and keep the map alive in your memory. Harvest echo crystals, memorize the voids, and reach the green exit before time runs out.

Step 1 / 4

Echolocation

The caves are pitch black. Emit sonar pulses to reveal the walls around you — then watch them fade back into darkness. Nothing stays visible; the map lives in your head. Reach the green exit before your time runs out.

Navigation

Tap anywhere to set a waypoint. Your probe glides toward it, sliding along unseen walls. Tap your probe or the PULSE button to ping — you carry 5 charges, regenerating slowly. Spend them like they're the last light in the world. They are.

Step 3 / 4

Echo Crystals

Faceted crystals hide in the dark, glowing cyan when a pulse finds them. Collect one to refill all 5 sonar charges instantly. Detouring for a crystal is often the difference between a mapped cave and a lost probe.

Void Hazards

Swirling voids devour anything that touches them. A pulse reveals their burning spiral for a few seconds — memorize where they lurk. The most dangerous thing in the cave is the hazard you saw once and forgot.

QUICK REFERENCE — tap anywhere: set waypoint  ·  tap probe / PULSE button: sonar ping  ·  charges: 5, slow regen  ·  crystal: instant full refill  ·  goal: reach the green exit in time

Answers to the questions probes ask most. If yours isn't here, write to us — a human will reply.

My sonar charges ran out — what now?

Charges regenerate slowly on their own. If you're completely dry, look for an echo crystal (cyan when pinged): collecting one refills all 5 charges instantly. Pacing your pings is the core skill of the game.

I keep dying to hazards I can't see.

Void hazards are only visible for a few seconds after a pulse reveals them. That's intentional — the game is about memory. Ping before committing to a long glide, and mentally mark every spiral you see.

How do time clocks work?

From sector 4 onward, gold clocks appear in the caves. Each one you collect adds +12 seconds to your current dive. Plan routes that sweep past them rather than beelining for the exit.

Can I reset my progress?

Yes — open Settings from the main menu and use the Progress → Reset option. This clears your current and deepest sector for the selected mode.

Does the game require an internet connection?

No. Echo Cartographer is fully playable offline.
